I do most of my birding in the Shenandoah Valley, west of Virginia’s Blue Ridge. Any chance to get to the Atlantic coast is a treat. Over Christmas, I spent time vacationing with in-laws in South Carolina and had a wonderful chance to bird in Huntington Beach State Park.
